I bothered with this for a long time.

Now I finally tested which program recreates these obscure entries.

    Someone mentioned Avast.

    Ccleaner is owned by Avast.

And yes, if you delete this entry, start Ccleaner this registry entry instantly gets recreated.

Bad practice to create something in the registry with just numbers instead of the product or company name, which is industry standard.

Especially for a so called "cleaner" which should keep things clean!

If anyone googles "1D0EC6DE-4A80-4CC3-A335-E6E41C951198" here you have the answer.

Procmon didn't work on letting me know that CCleaner was the issue. I noticed last week that when I would delete the file and use CCleaner, the file would reoccur. I deleted CCleaner completely and the file has not recreated itself. Sorry for the delay in the response. Thank you.

It should be possible to determine what process is responsible by monitoring the Software key using procmon and then deleting the 1D0EC6DE-4A80-4CC3-A335-E6E41C951198 subkey. When it gets recreated, there should be an event shown in procmon that reveals the process.

Do you have AVG installed? That GUID appears to belong to the "Icarus.exe" process that is part of AVG.
