Find My Device setting is turned on, but the location is disabled.

My privacy setting shows that my "Find My Device" is on, but when I checked it on the browser, it's showing me that the location is disabled which is very weird because, I remember checking my device's location a few months back and I was able to track it, and now all of a sudden, it's showing that location is disabled. I know this question has been asked in this community before, but for some reason that conversation thread has been locked and it's view only. If windows 11 has fixed it or if anyone in this community knows how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks.

I had/have this issue too. Ridiculous.

But then, weirdly, after toggling all the switches in settings (find my device / location), AND opening Maps app (did this have anything to do with it?)... then going back to the website which still had "location disabled", THIS time, it was able to be enabled in the find-my-device webpage https://account.microsoft.com/devices/find-my-device

    So... weird

I was completing the Microsoft Rewards page when I noticed that I wasn't gaining any of the points on display even though I answered the questions correctly. I then checked my account and noticed that my laptop location had been disabled.

No idea how/why as I had been using my laptop earlier with no problems etc ie Weather app still had my location correct and when I checked on settings homepage, my location was set as ON.

I have tried all the suggestions put forward by Bing etc and so far have been unable to correct the error showing on my location.

My fear is that this might have consequences further down the line if I am unable to correct this problem.

Pull up Microsoft Maps from your computer and set the "Default Location".
