Hello, goddessnala
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
Thank you for your feedback. There are a number of reasons for your problem, here are some troubleshooting options.
- Press Windows Key + R to launch the Run Utility program. Type regedit and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open the Registry Editor with administrator privileges. 2. In the address bar at the top, copy and paste the address below to quickly navigate to the following keys. Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\GraphicsDrivers
Select the Graphics Drivers folder from the left pane. On the right, right-click anywhere in the blank area and go to New > QWORD (64-bit) Value. (If you are using the 32-bit version, select DWORD (32-bit) Value). Name it TdrDelay.
Double-click on TdrDelay and change the value data to 8. Reboot your PC for the changes to take effect and try running the application immediately to see if you can access the graphics hardware.
Disclaimer: Generally, modifying registry subkeys or work group is intended for advanced users, administrators, and IT Professionals. It can help fix some problems, however, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For further protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click How to back up and restore the registry in Windows - Microsoft Support to view the article.
- If the above does not help, have you set a restore point? You can try using System Restore to see if the problem is resolved.
Open the Start menu, type Restore, and then click on the first result that appears. Under the System Protection tab, click the System Restore button. Select Choose a restore point before the error occurs. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
This might take a while so be patient and make sure that you're connected to a stable power source.
Use System Restore - Microsoft Support
Please let me know if you have any other questions or if I haven't explained something clearly.
