What I found was that it was a security issue that came from the website. I fixed it by disabling each program running as so-called protection in my bowser. The culprit was one of the extensions. Look at what is running in your browser extensions.
how do i fix a client side error
i was on a website that i visit frequently and all of a sudden it said
Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information).
what is this and how do i fix it? Is this a MS issue or chrome. The website repeats this if i try to go back on it.
i cleared the history but not cookies or cache. i read smething about disabling javascript and then tunring it back on?
Will that create problems with other sites?
is this a permanent error? i can get on the site in Edge so i guess this is a browser problem?
it's obviously not a system failure etc but there was no relevant category for this.
thanks

2023-10-12T08:29:40+00:00 The error message you encountered, "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)," is typically related to issues on the user's side rather than a problem with Microsoft or Chrome. It's specific to the website you were visiting. Clearing your browsing history won't likely fix it, but disabling and re-enabling JavaScript might help. However, this could potentially cause problems on other websites that rely on JavaScript for functionality, so it's not a recommended long-term solution. Since the website works in Microsoft Edge, it does suggest that this is more likely a browser-specific issue with Chrome. To potentially resolve the problem, you can try a few things: ensure your Chrome browser is up to date, clear the cache and cookies, and check if there are any problematic Chrome extensions or settings interfering with the site's functionality.
