Microsoft ergonomic mouth right and left click buttons does not work. Connected, moves and scrolls but just doesn't click?
Hello, I have a microsoft ergonomic mouse that is off white color. It has been working well for the past 6 months, but all of a sudden, the right and left click buttons are not responding. The bluetooth mouse is connect and recognized by the computer. I can see the pointer move when the mouse moves. The scroll wheel works as well, however it just does not respond to clicks. Even the side buttons work. No drivers can be updated as it just shows a generic HID compatible mouse and no driver is available. I've tried to reconnect the mouse using the other two bluetooth settings and nothing works. I can understand if one button doesn't work but both not working at the same time? That is very weird.

2024-01-16T22:38:49+00:00 Seems like a software issue to me. I have this issue also. If I remove the device from Settings, then uninstall Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center app then add the device again, it works instantly. If I install the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center again, next day, same issue, button left or right clicks won't register.
Microsoft needs a software fix for this issue.

2023-05-16T23:27:21+00:00 Hi,
You are correct. This seems like a hardware problem. I connected this to another computer and the same thing. I can see the pointer and the mouse moves but the right and left buttons do not respond to clicks. My wife purchased this mouse on 9/5/2022 so about 6 months ago. How do I go about getting a warranty claim for this mouse? I still have the order number and order sheet, but no way to attach it to this message.
Order number: 1433313997
Thank you

same thing happens to me the last few months with my Microsoft ergonomic mouse on both PC's. I've found by removing a driver and rebooting the left and right click works for a few minutes so I think this is a software/driver issue not mouse issue. If it is the mouse what is the warranty because this sucks and ive got nowhere with MS support. I do not have the problem with my logitech vertical mouse on either of my PCs only the ergonomic mouse.
