How to install Media Feature Pack when Windows 11 23H2 can't find it?

So, I have been trying to install the Media Feature Pack just so I can get my iCloud app working again, but the system can't seem to find it anywhere. I've tried to install it through regular settings as well as with PowerShell but with no results.

I've also uninstalled the Legacy Media Player but that did nothing.

Any help here?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

This is usually caused by a known bug in the iCloud Installer.

Open the Settings App, then go to System - About.

If you have Windows 11 Home or Pro, not an N version of Windows installed, then you do not need to install the Media Feature Pack separately, it is already installed.

    Open the old Control Panel

At the top of the old Control Panel, set View to large icons

    Open Programs and Features

On the left select 'Turn Windows features on or off'

Expand the Media Features section, is the old legacy Windows Media player enabled?

If that is not enabled, enable it and then restart your PC.

If that does not solve the problem installing iCloud, you will need to contact Apple support, there is a bug in their iCloud app installer.

I'm going to piggyback on here because I think my problem is related.

I don't often use my computer speakers, but the past couple of weeks, my sound has intermittently stopped working. The only thing that "fixes" it is restarting the whole PC. It's still brand new. I haven't even used a full gig yet.

Windows Media Player has remained enabled. I've not made any modifications to the computer.

    Any ideas? Suggestions?

    Thank you!
