I really don't know what it is, a thing called updater appears on the data usage list & it is constantly sucking up the data. As I've recently done all my software update and all the security updates. Right now, it is showing off as up to date and checking the update history also tells the same story nothing got updated recently that's why I'm asking if anybody facing this problem and got a way out please share.

Move the mouse pointer over that entry. The tooltip will show the full path to that file updater.exe.

    It might be Google updater.

You can disable them by running Services.msc.

Double-click each GoogleUpdater service and set the startup type to "Disabled".

    Click Ok.

Updater.exe updates Google products installed on your computer, such as Chrome. There is nothing you that can be done about it.

If you open Services.msc you can see two Google Updater services running.
