After restoring my system back to Windows 10 from Windows 11, I have encountered a printing error 0x00000505 when I tried the grayscale function. What should I do?

About the Windows 10 printer cannot modify the content after the downgrade, there is an error, 0x00000505 .
Try using Safe Mode to enter Windows 10
Delete the files under the directory C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\drivers\x64
After rebooting, try adding a new printer.

    Hope it can help you.

Karlie's response is spoken like someone who has no experience with this issue. This is NOT a basic troubleshooting situation. It's happened to every machine that we did the downgrade back to Windows 10. (about 200 of them)

The only solution we've found is to rebuild the machine completely. I just ran across it again and was hoping to come across a solution that didn't involve reinstalling Windows.

    Hello @丽萍 董

First please refer this step-by-step guide:
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/4015397

Step 1. Unplug and restart your printer
Step 2. Check cables or wireless connection
Step 3. Uninstall and reinstall your printer
Step 4. Install the latest driver for your printer
Step 5. Clear and reset the print spooler
Step 6. Change a printer's status to "online"

Then I would recommend to run sfc /scannow to repair the Windows 10 system files. Or run printer troubleshooter : Settings> Update & Security > Troubleshoot.

Furthermore, we could also dig into Event log Microsoft-Windows-PrintService/Operational to see if there's obvious errors.

    Best Regards
    Karlie
