How can I receive a Text on a landline

Hello is there any way for me to receive a verification code text from a landline phone number?
I'm trying to log in into my account. I had this phone number linked to my account back in the 2017 or 2018 when I first made it and I could receive a call. Now I don't know why they removed this option. I just want to log in back to my account to reset my PIN because I'm receiving this error message after a silly update: 0x0000225

    Hello,

    Thanks a lot

I made a phone number change that will take 30 days to get processed! I'm answering this from my other account for university. I'll be patient and hopefully I'll get my account back. I tried the recovery but the informations I gave are not enough for the recovery team to be able to recover my account so if both didn't work I'm 100% doomed

Thank you for your quick reply!

If you have successfully made the verification method change, be patient for 30 days and you will get a good result for your account.

    Have a nice night!

    Dear Y Y_6456

    Welcome to Microsoft Community

Thanks for your feedback, I understand that you are having problems with receive a Text on a landline.

Landlines are not eligible for verification codes. The landline is also a landline phone, which can only make and receive calls, and does not have the function of sending and receiving text messages. If you need to receive a verification code, we recommend using a mobile phone or other SMS-enabled device.

I see you said the error code: 0x0000225.

Are you experiencing this error code while turning on your computer

This error is normally generated when there is a bcd error on your hard drive, it should not be generated when booting from Installation Media
In your BIOS, is the installation media set to the top of the boot order?

If you don't currently have another account verification method, we recommend that you try filling out the account recovery form, which can be found at the URL below:

I wish you all the best and hoping you'll get a resolution there.
