Why isn't my Bluetooth device connecting? and not allowing me to remove a device? or even add a new device?

Hi, I'm having trouble with my Bluetooth device. My earphones are paired however when I try to connect through the computer it says “connection failed” or that the device isn't discoverable. I know it isn't a problem with my earphones as I've connected it to a different PC and different devices I have used this laptop to connect my earphones before too. I tried removing the device from Bluetooth but it said “Remove failed”. I also tried to connect by clicking the plus and adding a new device but an error came up saying "couldn't connect" and gave some suggestions that didn't work like troubleshooting. I have already run a Bluetooth troubleshooting and it says “check Bluetooth radio status” and next to it says "not fixed" however I don't know how to do this. I have also gone to the device manager and updated all Bluetooth drivers and it says it's all up to date yet I still can't pair my earphones or remove them nor can I add a new device.

Thank you in advance!

Hello there, I'm Gopal an Independent Advisor. I will try my best to help you.

I can see that you're experiencing trouble with your Bluetooth device. Do you have any other Bluetooth devices connected to your computer, and are they functioning properly?

Meanwhile please try the following steps and see if that helps

    • Restart the Bluetooth Service

Open Services (search for "Services" in the Start menu).

Locate the "Bluetooth Support Service," right-click on it, and select "Restart."

    • Reinstall the Bluetooth driver

Press the Windows key + X, and select Device Manager.

In Device Manager, select Bluetooth, and then select the Bluetooth adapter name, which may include the word “radio.”

Press and hold (or right-click) the Bluetooth adapter, and then select Uninstall driver.

After uninstalling the driver, select Start > Power > Restart, and then check whether that fixes the connection issue.

    Regards,

    Gopal
