Hello - I've been added as a Contributor to a Virtual Machine and I'm able to get to the point where I download the .rdc file. However, I keep running into a "Your credentials did not work error." Any guidance would be appreciated.
Does it have anything to do with my role as Contributor? How can the VM Owner include my credentials on the VM?

Here are resources I've been using to troubleshoot:

Appreciate the help, thank you.

Hi,

Do you have following RBAC role: "Virtual Machine User Login"?
And you have to be added to "Remote Desktop users" local group on the VM.

More details:

Hope this helps!

    Hi CristianSPIRIDON72 - Thank you.
What resolved the issue was the following:

    1. Using my Microsoft account username and the password the Owner had created for the VM (I had been using my personal MS account password before)
    2. Having the Owner add me to the "Remote Desktop Users" local group on the VM
