Unfortunately, if you haven't made a backup or you can't find the world in the %appdata% .minecraft folder.
The only alternative is to contact Minecraft support to see if they can help recover the world.

I was forced to redownload Minecraft for windows because it had been shifted to a Minecraft launcher, but after redownloading it my world on Minecraft has been deleted. I have tried going through the %appdata% folder, but because it is a new app there is no data on it. How can I retrieve my map, I put a lot of effort into it and am really frustrated that it has just been deleted, I thought it would've been attached to my account, and I did not know that you can back it up, but I definitely will from now on.

Did you select the Minecraft: Java & Bedrock for PC option in the support link?
I have tried that, because I did my research for the problem and found someone else mention this.
I want to complain about Microsoft changing it into a launcher, I believe this has removed my world, because I was fine previously before this update.
I also contacted them, and despite saying that I used Minecraft FOR WINDOWS, they kept mentioning Java edition when I do not use Java edition. My stuff should also be attached to my XBOX account, because it is logged in and my skins and stuff are still on Minecraft but not my worlds.
If you have not backed up the world, it is unfortunately not possible to recover the world.
