I suggest waiting for another hour to see if there's any progress. If there's no progress, please try pressing the power button for about 5-10 seconds to perform a hard shutdown. Wait for 1-2 minutes, then boot up your computer normally to check if the issue is resolved.

So it's at 100% but it's not done? What is the logic behind that?

I took your advice and just waited. It did eventually restore itself.

I have tried turning off my computer by pressing the off button as advised but the same message appears on the screen each time I turn on the computer
