Hi, AlishbaIN
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
I understand that your computer recognizes the card reader but cannot read the SD card.
You could try:
Observe if the metal area on the card is dull or if there are spots. You can gently remove it with cotton or a face dipped in alcohol or a small amount of water and reinsert it after the water dries.
Then try:
- open the device manager and reinstall the USB driver to make sure the driver is normal.
- To update the SD card driver, you can go to Device Manager and then find the card reader in the list. If there is a yellow mark next to it, the SD card reading problem is most likely caused by a driver issue. Then you need to update the driver.
3, Open Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Devices and Printers, and remove USB SD Card Reader from the devices;
4, Unplug the card reader and plug it again.
Wish you solve the trouble soon!
