Hello, Michael Pascoe2.
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
I have some ideas.
I searched online.
I noticed that your device seems to require specialized driver support.
I'm not sure if the driver you downloaded and installed is the one provided by Cambridge.
Have you tried using the drivers provided by Cambridge?
Cambridge even offers drivers for USB2.0.
Please try downloading and installing the drivers first.

How do I install the latest Windows USB Audio driver for the DacMagic 100? (cambridgeaudio.com)

Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). If the drivers from the device manufacturer don't solve the problem, I recommend contacting the device manufacturer.
They often have a better understanding of their devices than we do.
If there are any updates, please feel free to reply.
Best regards.
