    Hello Emma P,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. My name is Gunasekar and I'm happy to help.

Treat all unsolicited phone calls/ emails with skepticism. Do not provide any personal information. If you receive an unsolicited call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, please hang up or if it's an email please ignore it.

Do not click any links on the screen (or) call the number. Just follow the steps below to disable the screen.

    1. Click CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys altogether.
    2. Open Task manager.
    3. Select the browser running on the lists and click End tasks.
    4. The pop up should disappear.

However, it is recommended to keep your Microsoft account safe and secure by following the suggestions below.

    1. Create a strong password.
    2. Enable two-factor authentication.
    3. Delete unused devices from your account.

That's a fake so-called Tech Support scam alert/warning which you are seeing in your browser.

"Remember that real error messages from Microsoft, or other big tech companies, never include phone numbers for you to call them.

If your screen suddenly fills with scary pop-ups you should immediately close your browser (try pressing ALT+F4 if you can't do it with your mouse). If you can’t close your browser try restarting your computer."

Other methods to get out of such fake Tech Support scam browser warnings are listed here:: Thread "Blocked computer" page 1: AW's reply on January 21, 2023

To prevent even seeing such fake alerts, use a good content/ad-blocker such as free uBlock Origin.

Thank you! I just had the same problem, it’s so scary with that repeated automated voice over and over. So CTRL + ALT + DELETE then ending task on my browser (Chrome) did the trick for me. Then I cleared my browsing history in chrome too, seems all good now. Phew.
