How do I turn off laptop keyboard backlight?

My laptop keyboard configures Fn + Spacebar to change the backlight. The spacebar doesn't work, from water damage. The same combination does not work with an external keyboard or on-screen keyboard.

Following a previous post, I've tried to go into Control Panel and change it, but the attached screenshot shows that there isn't an option there.

    I understand you're trying to turn off the keyboard backlight.

    I see the spacebar isn't working. Try pressing Fn+Esc on the keyboard to change the keyboard backlight mode.

    If it doesn't work, could you tell me about your computer's manufacture? Is it Dell, Lenovo, etc?
