My internal microphone won't be detected by zoom

Zoom won't detect built-in mic on Windows 10 despite proper settings, driver updates, and reinstalls. Mic works in Windows but not in Zoom, even after toggling settings. Mic permissions allowed, but Zoom doesn't appear in list

    Thanks for the reply. Does the issue only occur on Skype and Zoom? Please try the following steps:

    Enable the Microphone and set it as the default device:

    Press the Windows key + R.

    In the Run box that appears, type mmsys.cpl and press Enter.

    Select the Recording tab.

    Right-click your Microphone and click Enable.

    Right-click it again and set it as the Default Device.

    Right-click the Microphone, and click Properties.

    In the Levels tab, drag the volume slider towards the highest value, then click OK.

    Proceed to the Advanced Tab and uncheck the box that says "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."

    Restart your PC and then check.

    Hi Lester N,

    I have already tried what you have suggested, I even tried using Skype but my internal microphone(Conexant ISST audio) still won't pick up my voice.

    If the issue is with the Zoom app only, please check the app settings and enable any sound-related settings.

    If the issue persists, does the microphone work if you use the browser for Zoom? Thank you
