Hi, Kadiadia Kongolo
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
I understand that you are experiencing access issues after accidentally deleting your account and permissions, and I’m here to help you resolve this.
To create a new user account on your Windows machine, please follow these steps:
- Open the Settings App: You can do this by pressing
Win + Ion your keyboard, or by searching for "Settings" in the Start menu. - Navigate to Accounts: Once in Settings, click on "Accounts."
- Select Family & other users: On the left-hand pane, you will find "Family & other users." Click on this to proceed.(In some versions of Windows, you'll see Other users.)
- Add someone else to this PC: Next to Add other user, select Add account.
- Set up the Account: You will be prompted to enter the new user's Microsoft account email. If the new user does not have a Microsoft account, or you prefer not to use one, you can click on "I don’t have this person’s sign-in information," followed by "Add a user without a Microsoft account." You can then enter a username and password for the new account.
- Assign a Profile: If you need to assign administrative rights to the new user, you can do so by selecting the new account under "Other users," clicking "Change account type," and then selecting "Administrator" from the drop-down menu.
After you've successfully created a new user account, you can log in with that account, which should provide you with fresh permissions and access settings, potentially resolving any access issues to your local drive (C:).
If the problem persists even after creating a new user account, or if you encounter any specific errors during the process, it might indicate deeper system issues. In such cases, further troubleshooting or professional support may be required.
For your OneDrive access, once you log in with your new or existing Microsoft account on this new user profile, OneDrive should automatically sync if set up previously with that account.
Should you need any more assistance or have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Best Regards
