Windows 11 Stuck on Virtual Display

Hello everyone, I'm facing a perplexing issue with Windows 11 and could really use some help. Following a recent power outage, my system's settings, including the IP address, were unexpectedly altered. I have two displays – a physical monitor and a virtual display I've been using for remote access. Since the outage, Windows 11 seems stuck on the virtual display during boot-up, leaving the physical monitor blank. Even attempting to access Safe Mode hasn't worked, as it doesn't show up on the original monitor either. I've also attempted to connect to a secondary monitor with no success. Accessing the BIOS via the original monitor hasn't provided a solution either. Additionally, I've tried remoting to all possible devices in the subnet without success. Unfortunately, I don't have access to the router to check any changes made. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue and regain control over my physical monitor would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

    Hello Patch,

I believe there might have been a misunderstanding regarding the issue. The problem lies in the fact that I don't have viable access to the virtual display despite the ethernet cable functioning properly, as scanning all possible IP addresses available for remote access yields no results. Attempts to switch the main display from outside have proven unsuccessful. It's a deadlock situation...

    Hello Testings Cessen

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It sounds like your computer desktop is always displayed on a virtual desktop.

Entering safe mode doesn't help either.

You can try it using shortcut keys. Press "win+P" to change the monitor expansion options.

I have tested it, and you need to enter the system before you can use this shortcut key.

I suggest you enter the system first and then use "win+P".

If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards
