I got Yellow screen on my windows 11 suddenly (colors are very warm), when i open setting and the. Display it fix it without doing anything and the moment i close setting it gets back again

I have tried all hardware solutions (hdmi, monitor, gpu) and it’s not a hardware problem.

I tried all of this but didn’t fix it:

  1. Turn off Night light via Settings
  2. Calibrate your monitor
  3. Update display driver
  4. Change the color profile of your display

I have also tried to reinstall windows 11 without removing apps and data and it also didn’t work

I can’t do a clean windows installation because i have important data and apps.

Please help.

Hello, I have a similar problem. When I turn on my PC, it changes to a warm yellowish tone, I go to settings, screen, and the problem automatically goes away. But it happens again when you turn the computer on again. I started in safe mode and it doesn't happen there. I reinstalled Windows 11 and nothing, it's still the same, I wiped the disk from 0 and it's still there. please help

    Hi NinjamanOZ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your display on Windows 11. Based on the troubleshooting steps you've already taken, it seems like the issue may be related to a software or driver problem. Here are a few additional steps you can try:

    • Graphics Driver Rollback or Update: Try rolling back to a previous version of your graphics driver, depending on your current situation. Sometimes, the latest drivers may introduce compatibility issues.
      • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
      • Expand the "Display adapters" category.
      • Right-click on your graphics card and choose "Properties."
      • Go to the "Driver" tab, where you can either "Roll Back Driver".
    • System File Checker (SFC) and DISM: Run the System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Image Service and Management Tool (DISM) to check and repair system files. Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files - Microsoft Support
    • Safe mode starts Windows in a basic state, using a limited set of files and drivers. If a problem doesn't happen in safe mode, this means that default settings and basic device drivers aren't causing the issue. Observing Windows in safe mode enables you to narrow down the source of a problem, and can help you troubleshoot problems on your PC. Start your PC in safe mode in Windows - Microsoft Support
    • Creating a new user account is an effective troubleshooting step because it can help determine whether the problem is related to the entire system or just to a specific user account. Please follow the steps below to create a new user account: Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support

If the problem does not exist under the new account, the problem may be related to your previous user profile. In this case, you can try to repair or reset the profile of your existing user account, or continue using a newly created account.

I hope this helps.  If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely

Hahn - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
