Activated windows 11, and there is not a brightness slider anywhere, or anywhere where its supposed to be atleast. I have tried rolling back my drivers (rx 6600) but that didn't provide any solution. help would be greatly appreciated as the very high brightness is killing my eyes.

With NO slider to adjust the screen brightness downward on this Win 11

software I am very disappointed and displeased. My desktop computer is

a INTEL Mini PC. The Microsoft instructions to remedy the issue are not

accurate. I need help, please, as apparently many others do, also. Oh, for

my Win 10. Too much dependence on robots?? Makes me wonder.

Hi I had this problem as well, after of hours of trying. nothing worked, then found the answer. Device Manger > Display Adapters > right click on the graphics driver > disable the driver. Then reboot and enable the driver again. Worked for me. The brightness bar returned.

    Hello. I am Emily.

This is typically a display driver issue.

Go to Device Manager > Display Adapter, make sure nothing is disabled there. If so, right click to enable it.

If that still doesn't work, go to the computer's manufacturer website, lcoate the model of yours, download and install the display adapter driver. (Keep in mind, if the computerr has an integrated display adapter, you want the driver for the integrated display driver, not the dedicated display driver).

If you not sure which one, or how to find the drirver, please type msinfo32.exe in the search on the taskbar and hit enter, then share a screenshot of the pop up please.

    Hello Bob,

The brightness slider is only available with devices (ex: laptop or tablet) that have a built-in screen.

To change the brightness of a desktop computer with an external monitor, you will need to use the physical or on-screen menu brightness button on the monitor, OR use Option One, Option Eight, Option Nine, or Option Ten in the tutorial below.
