Windows 11 Keyboard trouble-shooter is missing
I have an issue with the escape button. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I want to troubleshoot the keyboard but the troubleshoot button is not available under the other troubleshooter options.

I understand your frustration. I'm here to help. Unfortunately, Microsoft has phased out the legacy troubleshooters like the Keyboard troubleshooter due to the retirement of the Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool (MSDT). "Deprecation of Microsoft Support Diagnostic Tool (MSDT) and MSDT Troubleshooters" https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/dep...
However, there's still a way to troubleshoot your keyboard. You can run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter instead. Here's how:
> Press the Windows key + R to open Run dialog.
> Copy and paste this command:
%systemroot%\system32\msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic
> Click OK and then follow the prompts by clicking Next.
If the issue persists, it's worth performing a clean boot to rule out any third-party program causing the problem. Follow the instructions carefully in this Microsoft Support article: "How to perform a clean boot in Windows" https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-t... Afterward, if the problem vanishes, you can identify the culprit using the steps outlined in "How to determine what is causing the problem after you do a clean boot".
If the problem still persists, consider testing another external keyboard to see if the issue persists there as well.
Let me know how it goes.
John J.D.
