Hello!

I've this issue, I've a Win11 laptop with AMD Radeon Graphics.

I've installed latest driver and AMD Adrenalin Edition program from AMD website, but Windows Update keep disabling both.

I've tried to re-install all, but after a while Windows Update again disable everything.

How can I fix this? I would like to be able to use AMD program.

AMD redirects me to fix the problem on https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-300 but it didn't really help, as I failed following other guides on the web.

Many thanks to those that will help me!

I finally found a working solution, both for Home and Professional version Windows users: https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/prevent-wu-driver-update-automatic-realtek/#deviceid

Tried with the Group Policy Editor, with Regedit, stopping Windows Update, selecting "NO" in Advanced System Setting/System Properties/Hardware Tab/Device Installation Setting/"automatically downloading manufacturer's app and icons", Rolling Back the driver (it doesn't work), leaving my Ryzen 9 M 5900 HX in an AIO Mini PC with a Radeon on a Cezanne board "ever on (day and night)", and avoiding any reboot if not indispensable (I'm on the Canary Channel of Win11 Insider Preview).
I'm a hardheaded monkey. I don't easily desist. If I reboot for a Windows Malicious Software Update, I'm sure my video driver will be downgraded.
This issue has simply no solution.
So, I prepared myself with the Adrenaline driver that works better with my AMD PC (22.5.1) saved on a folder along with the utility to remove and clean any AMD component, Revo Uninstaller to remove leftovers and System Restore any 3 days: just in case the corrupted AMD manifest files f**k up the system for the forced Adrenaline driver downgrade imposed by Windows Update.
It is 2 years since I bought this PC and I keep on fighting with this bug. Neither Microsoft nor AMD seem interested in solving/patching it.
And the problem is relevant: resolution, RGB colors, HDR and, overall, the Refresh Rate makes my Radeon work at 25 % of its possibilities.
If someone, once read the list of fake solutions proposed in my introduction and everywhere in tech forums (this one included) find a new "WORKING" way to stop or trick/workaround this nightmare, is warmly welcome.
    I'll be thankful. ;-)

First, thank you for you kind response!

Second, unfortunately the link you attached seems to not open.

And I cannot find this troubleshooter you're mentioning in the Microsoft Download Centre.

Do you have any other link?
    Thanks!
