Bring back the old Microsoft Paint

Dear Microsoft,

I've used MS Paint with one layer & a white background for over 30 years. It was simple & it worked magnificently.

I used Paint to perform many functions, from creating birthday cards to developing ideas for new software. The new features are overkill & disruptive to getting things done. I spend more time filling in blank spaces left by transparency than I do creating the ideas.

Microsoft, if you're not willing to remove the new features - please consider allowing us to turn them off or install the old version.

Here are some suggestions.

  1. Add a toggle switch in the top right (e.g. new outlook) "new paint" allowing users to go back to the way we've been using paint for over 30 years.

  1. Add options under "view" to disable transparency & layers.

  1. Add the old Microsoft Paint as download in MS Store, which if installed allows you to run either version.

    Pretty unreal that this application is gone. They actually removed it from my machine upon an update and now they want me to upgrade to windows 11 to get it back. Trying to say that this application is not supported on any version but windows 11
    Bunch of BS because its still on my other PC that has windows 10 that I havent updated yet. So Crazy! I do not want to use Paint 3D - It sucks and Ive never liked it. bring back the OG version that we have used for decades.

    I so agree, can not stand what MS has done, if it works & has worked why screw with something no one is happy about.

    Maybe this is how Microsoft "improves" things. Break something that worked fine for 20+ years for no good reason. I'm sure everyone was fine without Microsoft Paint trying to be more like Photoshop.

    Seriously, how did they go after this instead of Notepad? Especially after publicly announcing that the app would no longer be supported. I think they are trying to force people to become Microsoft Software developers for free just to undo all of the unecessary changes that the paid devs make. Thanks a lot.

    Thank you, my tower computer is not compatible with Windows 11 only 10 (64 bit-4 TB) another downfall of MS & HP. I managed to get the old Paint back took a while but got around the BS. It just seems MS thinks that people are made of money with their constant upgrades every 6 months built-in policy planning or designing a product/programming with an artificially limited useful life, keeping them as a Corporation Monopoly which I hope will be their downfall one day. I do not use my computers for gaming but for real work/research.
