it's beyond hilarious that your fix is to change settings in a game that never loads the menu due to the specific issue you SAY you're trying to fix. you want to know why microsoft is prolific for horrible, lazy, customer service? things exactly like this. maybe look at the issue before emberassing yourself again.

2023-11-18T07:03:10+00:00 Hi, Jose Merced
Welcome to the MicroSoft Community.
Experiencing a black screen when launching games can be frustrating. Here are a few potential solutions to try:- Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause issues with game launches. Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and download the latest drivers for your specific graphics card model.
- Verify Game Files: If the issue persists with multiple games, it's worth verifying the integrity of the game files. Steam, for example, provides a feature to verify the integrity of game files. Go to your game library, right-click on the game, select "Properties," go to the "Local Files" tab, and click on "Verify Integrity of Game Files." This will compare your game files with the official versions and repair any corrupted files.
- Disable Fullscreen Optimization: Some users have reported that disabling fullscreen optimization can resolve black screen issues. Right-click on the game's executable file or shortcut, select "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and check the box for "Disable fullscreen optimizations." Click "Apply" and then launch the game again.
- Adjust Graphics Settings: Try lowering the graphics settings within the game. Sometimes, high graphics settings can overload the system and cause black screen issues. Reduce settings like resolution, texture quality, shadows, and anti-aliasing to see if it helps.
- Check for Hardware Issues: It's possible that your hardware, such as the graphics card or monitor, may be causing the black screen. Ensure that your graphics card is properly seated in its slot and that all cables are securely connected. If possible, try connecting your monitor to a different port or using a different cable to rule out any hardware-related issues. If none of these solutions work, it may be helpful to contact the game's support team for further assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or patches available for known issues. If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.
