After installing Windows 11 I put my Microsoft account information in and it activated it for me. today I was in my files looking around and came across a file called kmspico After looking it up, it says it's used 2 illegally activate windows. But my windows is registered to my account. I don't know how this got on there. What should I do?

    Hi, Matthew Veillon

    Welcome to Microsoft support community.

    ===================================

    KMSPico is a utility to illegally activate Windows or Microsoft Office, if you have found that on your PC your system might not been properly activated.

    How did you install your Windows 11: Upgrade from Windows 10, Install from Windows Installation media? Have you request some repair store to help you install the system?

    Provide me with the screenshot of the message which you see the “2 illegally activate windows” message so I can know the exact situation you are facing.

     For your situation right now, I suggest:

    • View your license status

    1-> Click your Start Button, type cmd then right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

     2-> Run or paste this command and hit Enter:

            slmgr.vbs /dli

    Post a screenshot of the result.

    ===================================

    Looking forward about your reply.

    Best Regards
