What if the "compatibility" option is not appearing?
How to remove run as administrator permission from apps in windows 11?
I just need to remove the administrator permissions from my apps because I was told that what could be causing issues to my laptop.

2024-04-30T23:09:59+00:00 I have a similar problem, need to remove the administrator permissions from my app but I have the "Run this programme as an administrator" checkbox in the compatibility tab.
It is unchecked but the app always requires administrator permissions when started.Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 23H2

Here following steps to remove run as administrator permission from an apps:
1-Right click on that programme shortcut which in on desktop.
2- click on "Show more options".
3- Choose properties option and go to compatibility tab
4-Uncheck the box "Run this programme as an administrator".
5-Click Apply and then OK
6- Same steps for other apps also.

VishalI only have one program. I tried that, unchecked the button from the desktop icon, went and unchecked (what I think is) the underlying program file. Restarted. Did not work. Still needs admin privs to open.
