My charger works but the computer wont turn on and the charging light wont turn on. It was working this morning but decided not to work after putting it into shut down mode.

I just bought it a year ago, and it was doing well until now i’ve tried to plug in the charger and open it up because sometimes that works, I've tried holding the power button down, but nothing seems to work. Its is a HP ENVY x360 2n1 laptop 13

    Hello, this is Emily.

    Based on the information you've provided, it sounds like there may be a hardware issue with your laptop.

    Does the charger have the LED light to indicate that power is coming through? If the LED light is not even on, then try a different wall outlet.. If it still won't light, then the issue is on the charger itself.

    If the charger's LED light is on, and if your laptop has a removable battery, try removing it and then plugging in the charger. If the laptop turns on, then the battery may be the issue.

    If none of that helps, you need to contact HP support as this is not a Windows issue, nor can you fix it from Windows' settings, etc. It is a hardware issue.

    Hello ,

    I have a similar problem,

    My MSI cyborg 15 charging light is not working even that my charger is plugged in and it's showing in my screen that it's charging.

    The only problem is the laptop charging light , it's not working !?? Can you help me !!

    The LED doesn’t appear and I’ve tried other wall outlets and the charger works on other devices. It was working this morning then stopped.

    If the LED light doesn't appear but it still works on other devices, then the issue can be on the HP laptop. Once again, this is something you will need to either contact HP or take it to local repair place - I don't see how this can be fixed from software side unfortunately. Sorry.
