like the title says, it just suddenly stopped working mid use.
ive been into my device manager and it looks as if there is a problem with my i2c hid. error 10
ive gone through a few fixes i found online and nothing works.
funnily enough all mentions of the touchpad in my control panel have also disappeared.

any help would be appreciated.

Click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.

On an MSI laptop there are usually two utilities installed, the Dragon Center and SCM, check in both of those to see if there is a setting in either to disable the touchpad.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

Check the function keys (F1 - F12) on your keyboard, do any of those have a touchpad icon, if one does, try pressing that key or Fn + that key to see if that enables the touchpad.

    2

If that was not the problem, go to the support page for your laptop on the MSI website to download and re-install the version of touchpad drivers they provide for your laptop.
