Ethernet connection identified, but no internet access

Earlier today the router got unplugged and plugged back in, and stopped working for a bit, but we fixed it and the wifi works again. However, my PC is connected to the router via ethernet (through a power-line adapter) and i haven't been able to get the PC's internet working again. I've tried flushing the DNS, using default IP settings for the connection, restarting the router, modem, and PC, using the network reset button, using the network adapter troubleshooter, updating my drivers, switching ethernet cables, using a different ethernet port on the router, and connecting the ethernet to the modem instead. I may have missed a few things i tried, but this should be most of them. Some of the errors I've gotten from the troubleshooter have been

"DNS server isn't responding", "The default gateway isn't available", and "the connection between your access point, router, or cable modem and the internet is broken" but the troubleshooter has also shown those issues as resolved sometimes, so I'm not sure if they're actually problems. I'm really just stumped and would like to get it working again at some point, so I'd appreciate some help.

I'm glad you solved the problem but when using powerlines, the first test to do is to connect the PC directly to the router bypassing the powerlines and check whether the problem is resolved immediately or not, otherwise try resetting the powerlines .

In any case, the powerlines must be able to work on all the LAN ports of the router, excluding none.

My problem has now been fixed, i tried a lot of things so im not sure which methods were helpful, but the last thing that i did before it worked was simply switching to a different ethernet port on the router. Thanks to anyone who helped!

    Update on my problem:

I've been working on it today and ive now gotten to a point where it consistently shows the network as connected and tells me i have access to the internet, but i still dont have internet.

Something ive been trying to do is the commands

    ipconfig /release

    and

    ipconfig /renew

but it tells me "adapter Ethernet is not enabled for DHCP." However, if i enable DHCP it instead says "An error occurred while releasing interface Ethernet: An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint."

I'm just focusing on getting this ipconfig /release command to work right now as it seems to be super close to working and it might fix my problem if i can get it to go through.

What do you mean by "power adapter"? Doesn't that device have a name? Clearly specify the name of that device and possibly also the brand.

Otherwise, disconnect that device from the network or router and connect the PC directly to the router's LAN port and see if that works.

A power-line adapter is a device that plugs into a wall outlet, and if you connect a PC to it with an ethernet cable, and then pair it to another power-line adapter, and connect that one to the router with an ethernet cable, it somehow translates the signal through the wall so you can access ethernet from places that are too far away from the router. I don't have the option of plugging my PC directly into the router, thats why i use the power-line adapter. I should clarify I've been using it for a few years now and its been working the whole time. All that being said, you did remind me that i haven't tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, so i'll give that a shot.
