Hello josh_511 and welcome to the Microsoft Community!

According to your feedback, you are experiencing an issue where the speaker of the Bluetooth keeps connecting to the microphone

You can try the following methods to solve the problem:

    1. Change the sound output device:

    Open Settings and select "Sound".

Under "Add Device", find your Bluetooth headset and add it.

Change the sound output device to Bluetooth headset.

See if you can get the headset to play sound.

    1. Disable the microphone (this will prevent the headset's microphone from working):

Right-click the speaker icon on the taskbar and select "Sound Settings".

Find your Bluetooth headset's microphone in the "Output" option.

Click the right arrow and select "General Audio".

Disable the microphone under "Disallow" on the right.

Wait a moment and the headset should return to normal, but the microphone will not be available 2.

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the driver:

Open Device Manager (press Win+R, type "devmgmt.msc" and press Enter).

Under "Sound, Video and Game Controllers", uninstall all drivers.

Restart your computer and wait for the system to reinstall the drivers.

Connect the Bluetooth headset again and check if the status shows "Connected Microphone, Audio".

    1. Disable all sound devices and then re-enable them:

    Open Device Manager.

In the "Sound" section, disable all sound devices.

    Reboot your computer.

When the Bluetooth headset is turned on, the computer will automatically connect the headset and set it as the default audio device.

Open Device Manager again and enable all sound devices.

I hope the above information is helpful.
