Hi All

First time dealing with this question and couldn't find much out there

We are migrating our servers to NEW hardware, so will be new ESX servers. Currently, we have Virtual servers hosted which has our DP's configures. Wondering if we could v2v so the the current DP could be hosted on the new ESX box

Or will the DP need to be removed and then reset up.

Just this is going to be on a large scale and site WAN links can be very slow

Thanks in advance

Assuming that the "V2V" in this case is simply moving the VM(s) from the old ESX host to the new, then this should be completely transparent to the OS and applications.

    Hey,

As mentioned, you should be able to migrate VMs to a new ESXi hosts. With a proper license you should be able to do storage vmotion between hosts. As an alternative, you can use StarWind V2V Converter. It can move VMs between ESXi hosts. https://www.starwindsoftware.com/starwind-v2v-converter
