How to rename files all at once in a particular order

Hi,

I have a set of pictures I took with my Android phone. I want to put them into a specific order (example cover page 1 page 2 page 3 until the end to page 152) and then I want to put them in order and then covert them all (from cover to page 152) into a single PDF file. I want to know any web pages or YouTube videos that can tell me how to do this.

Thanks.

Hello Ricky Luis, try this might work

Select all the files (Ctrl + A).

Right-click on the first file and select “Rename”.

Type in a new name (e.g. “Page”) and press Enter. All files will be renamed in the format of “Page (1)”, “Page (2)”, etc.

    Best regards

    Brian

Is there a way I can automatically rename the files without having to manually name them. An example would be instead of hand typing page 1 page 2 page 3 etc... I can just select the files in the folder and rename them all at once.

    Try this: https://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/

Hi Ricky, currently I don't have any video link to for rearrange the pictures order but if I will get time I will definitely make a proper video for you and upload on your question reply however right now try these few steps I hope that will work for you so let’s break down the process into two steps:

    1. Arrange the Pictures in the Desired Order:
      • To ensure that your pictures appear in the correct order in the final PDF, you’ll need to arrange them first.
      • Here are a couple of methods to achieve this:
        • Method 1 (Windows 10/11):
          1. Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder containing your pictures.
          2. Rename the pictures in the order you want them to appear (e.g., “cover.jpg,” “page1.jpg,” “page2.jpg,” and so on).
          3. Select all the pictures you want to include in the PDF.
          4. Right-click on the selected pictures and choose Print.
          5. Select the Microsoft Print to PDF printer.
          6. Windows will create a PDF file with the pictures in the order you specified^1^.
        • Method 2 (Online Tool):
          1. Use an online PDF editor like Visual Paradigm.
          2. Upload your pictures.
          3. Drag and drop the pictures to arrange them in the desired order.
          4. Click Rearrange to finalize the order.
          5. Download the newly created PDF file^2^.
    2. Convert the Ordered Pictures to a Single PDF:
      • Once you have the pictures in the correct order, follow these steps:
        • Method 1 (Windows 10/11):
          1. After arranging the pictures, right-click on them again.
          2. Select Print and choose the Microsoft Print to PDF printer.
          3. Windows will create a single PDF file containing all the pictures in the specified order.
        • Method 2 (Online Tool):
          1. If you used an online tool for rearranging, it likely provides an option to download the reordered PDF directly.

Remember to back up your original pictures before making any changes. Once you’ve created the PDF, you’ll have your pictures neatly organized from cover to page 152! 📷📄^3^^2^
