Hi, My name is Ahmet, and I am an Independent Advisor. I hope you're well, I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I'd be more than happy to assist you.
- Using Keyboard Shortcuts
Many laptops provide special keyboard shortcuts to increase or decrease the brightness of the keyboard light. These shortcuts are usually used in combination with the "Fn" key.
Fn + Keyboard Light Brightness Increase Key: This is usually located on one of the F keys (for example, F5, F6, F10) and is indicated by a keyboard light icon. For example, Fn + F6.
Fn + Keyboard Light Brightness Reduction Key: This is also usually located on one of the F keys and is symbolised in the same way.
- Using the Keyboard Light Control Software
Some laptop brands offer special software to control the keyboard lights. You can change the brightness settings using this software.
Dell: Dell QuickSet or Dell Command Centre
HP: HP OMEN Command Centre or HP System Event Utility
ASUS: ASUS Armoury Crate
Lenovo Lenovo Vantage
- Checking BIOS or UEFI Settings
On some laptops, the brightness of the keyboard light can be controlled in the BIOS or UEFI settings. To change these settings:
Restart your computer.
During bootup, press Esc, F2, F10, or Del to enter BIOS or UEFI (depending on the brand of your computer).
In the BIOS/UEFI menu, find the keyboard light settings and increase the brightness.
- Checking Energy Settings
In energy saving mode, some notebook computers can automatically reduce the brightness of the keyboard light. To check this setting:
Go to Control Panel or Settings > System > Power and sleep.
Click Additional power settings.
Select Change plan settings, and then click Change advanced power settings.
Find and check the brightness settings of the keyboard here.
- Control Keyboard Light Settings from Applications
If there is an application specific to the make or model of your laptop, you can control the keyboard light settings using this application. For example:
Lenovo Vantage: On Lenovo laptops, you can adjust the keyboard light brightness settings through the Lenovo Vantage application.
HP OMEN Command Centre: On HP OMEN devices, you can control the keyboard light settings using this application.
- Checking for Hardware Problems
If the above steps do not solve your problem, there may be a problem with the hardware of the keyboard light. In this case:
Clean the Keyboard: Dust and dirt can reduce the brightness of the keyboard lights.
Get Hardware Support: If your laptop is still under warranty, you can get technical support to repair or replace the keyboard light.
You can increase the brightness of your keyboard light by following these steps. You can also check the user manual or the manufacturer's website for steps specific to your make and model.
Let me know how it goes and hopefully it will help.
Have a wonderful day.
Yours sincerely,
Ahmet
