Hello, ionic G.
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
Thank you for your description of the problem.
I understand that you are having trouble typing “Shift + W + 1” at the same time when playing the game.
You have tried turning off some of the sticky settings and filters in the keyboard settings and have tested your keyboard and it appears to be working fine.
Please allow me to ask you something: can you normally enter all three commands at the same time when you are not playing a game? Or which games are you playing where you are experiencing this issue.
I usually play some FPS games too, am I right in understanding that Shift is to toggle the movement state, W is the forward button, and 1 is to switch weapons?
Depending on the FPS game, this could be a key conflict issue.
In some FPS games (such as Apex Legends), the Shift key setting will usually have two options: one clicks toggle/hold on.
You can try to change this setting to counter the key conflict issue, but it may affect your operating habits.
(If you're playing a game like CS2 that requires you to hold Shift, you can try changing the keystrokes to Alt instead of Shift).
You can also try scroll wheel switching (your scroll wheel is not assigned any other command in the game settings) to solve this problem.
This may be a game key conflict issue, these are some suggestions I can offer you so far, if you think I have misunderstood something, please feel free to point it out.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Best Regards!
