Shift+W+1 isn't working together but the other keys are fine.

My keys on my keyboard are all working but not this key (Shift+W+1). I also see any option or fix on the internet and there's no solution to this yet I'm struggling to this because of playing games. I also off the sticky keys, filter keys etc. still not fix this key problem. I'm not the only one having this problem because I saw people complaining about the problem in the Microsoft site. I also checked my keys through the internet to make key test and it's all fine but not the keys I'm mentioning together. It is really annoying in my perspective because is needed when playing FPS Games or any kind if games use this key together.

    Thank you for your reply.

Indeed, it is inevitable that you will encounter such problems while gaming, and better peripherals tend to reduce the likelihood of such problems and provide you with a better gaming experience.

It would be great if you took my advice and replaced the keyboard with a new one and solved the problem.

(If you found the service I provided helpful, please mark “Yes” to my last reply. Your evaluation is very important to us, thank you for your cooperation.)

Uhmmm well in valorant Typing while holding shift+W is also the same thing as note pad. It will just become WWWWWWWWWWW...

    Exclamation won't appear.

Sometimes when i tried to something else there's a kind of symbol or command idk appears when i use Shift+W+2 appear as <2>

    And Shift+W+3 appear as <3>

    And so on.

    But 1 nothing.

But i assure you all my keys are fine. And can do command shortcuts but not this Shift+W+1

Ty for responding to my problem.

    Thank you for your feedback.

The next situation I would like to confirm with you is that while you are playing Valorant, typing a number key command while holding down Shift+W disables Shift+W?

If you type Shift+W+1 in Notepad, normally we get an output of “W!”, what kind of output do you get?

    Best Regards.

I tried it in several games not just FPS games. I determined that this is not really working, when i press the other keys like Shift+w+2 appears as <2> and so on, but not the key 1. I also tried that to note pad, or search bar or anything, it's not really working. It's not the games is the problem i think. The key together are not really working. I play valorant where it is needed to be silent while switching gun.

    Hello, ionic G.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Thank you for your description of the problem.

I understand that you are having trouble typing “Shift + W + 1” at the same time when playing the game.

You have tried turning off some of the sticky settings and filters in the keyboard settings and have tested your keyboard and it appears to be working fine.

Please allow me to ask you something: can you normally enter all three commands at the same time when you are not playing a game? Or which games are you playing where you are experiencing this issue.

I usually play some FPS games too, am I right in understanding that Shift is to toggle the movement state, W is the forward button, and 1 is to switch weapons?

Depending on the FPS game, this could be a key conflict issue.

In some FPS games (such as Apex Legends), the Shift key setting will usually have two options: one clicks toggle/hold on.

You can try to change this setting to counter the key conflict issue, but it may affect your operating habits.

(If you're playing a game like CS2 that requires you to hold Shift, you can try changing the keystrokes to Alt instead of Shift).

You can also try scroll wheel switching (your scroll wheel is not assigned any other command in the game settings) to solve this problem.

This may be a game key conflict issue, these are some suggestions I can offer you so far, if you think I have misunderstood something, please feel free to point it out.

    Looking forward to your feedback.

    Best Regards!
