Install chipset driver, in bios enable or disable usb controller, legacy usb controller .
USB devices disconnect when playing games, or using alot of PC resources
Hi, ive been having this issue for months at this point, basically, my usb devices will disconnect when playing games, the devices are usually the same ones, even when i swap usb ports, this also once affected me while using a bluetooth device, and that also disconnected, ive asked multiple places for help with this and well, every single thing i have tried has not worked, ill list what PC i have and the specs on it:
IdeaCentre Gaming 5 17ACN7
3060 12GB
7 5700G
16 GB ddr4
500W PSU
Windows 11, newest update
i will also here list the solutions i have attempted:
tried fixing corrupted files in terminal (sfc scannow and dism)
tried lowering my individual usb polling rate, did not work completely, might be placebo but seemed to help a small bit
updated bios to newest version
tried changing my pcie from auto to gen 3 (it wasnt a option! many users online said this would work but in the bios O5EKT36A it isnt an option!)
updated+installed AMD chipset drivers
uninstalled usb serial busses, tried updating them, didnt work
Yes, i obviously tried turning off power management things, in some cases it made it worse, disconnecting all of my usb devices and forcing me to restart
tried using built in windows trouble shooters, detected a issue, like it always does on computers, and didnt fix anything (thanks microsoft)
tried to see if it was a power supply issue, heavily doubt it is due to many many people telling me it isnt, and also the fact i couldnt even swap PSU if i wanted to due to it not being ATX meaning i would need a special connector to swap it, or its completely proprietary.
tried moving my webcam and disconnecting it from my pc all together, didnt solve anything, even if i thought it did.
This also affects USBs on powered USB hubs, same as it would unpowered usb hubs
This has been an issue for so long at this point, im considering deleting my windows installation and trying to fully swap to Arch Linux (used it before on older computers) because this seems to be an only windows(with amd) issue from what im seeing, and if it doesnt work at that point im tempted to just sell the computer, and build myself one, if anyone can help me with this issue that would be wonderful, no matter what it is, tell me to throw it at the wall and ill tell you if it sticks, i have a pretty good way of testing if a solution has worked atp due to how many times ive had to test it, if you think ive messed up one of the solutions ive tried above, i can also give more information on those and such, im not too good at troubleshooting windows as i am linux, so i may have some issues understanding somethings, so bear with me if anyone has a solution, thanks to anyone who tried to help in advance.

2024-05-29T08:06:05+00:00 The usb devices, some are brand new, theyre very clean, and i have already done the second step. i think some type of serial bus issue is happening here as after i made this post, while using many PC resouces, my devices disconnected and did NOT recconect, i still had access to my keyboard and mouse, so i checked device manager and many MANY Universal serial bus controllers were missing, forgot to get a screenshot but i remember what was missing, this is what it normally looks like
it was missing all USB composite device controllers, the generic USB hubs, and the generic superspeed usb hub, the only things left were USB root hub, and the amd controller, i hope any of this helps you at what the issue could be,
