Device name Michael

Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13980HX 2.20 GHz

Installed RAM 32,0 GB (31,6 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch No pen or touch input is available for this display

Edition Windows 11 Home

Version 23H2

Installed on ‎27/‎02/‎2024

OS build 22631.3447

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22688.1000.0

I have a lot of issues with certain applications that need these microsoft visual C++ packages.

Universal Audio connect for instance, doesn't open anymore. I fixed it by reinstalling windows last time, but after another windows update and an installation of the visual package, it stopped working all together again. This week I tried installing F23 racing gaming from EA and it asked me to install these packages again, but once again it crashes or asks for a file I can't download or install. I downloaded VC_redist.x64. This one also gave me errors.

    Hello Huon.
    I have the same problem but the C++ 2022 is not in the list showed by the MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.
    It shows C++ 2008, 2010,, 2012,etc... but not 2022. So I can't unistall.
    This is a huge problem cause I can't use Photoshop and it happened suddenly and I have work to finish and deliver.
    All because at the moment I start Photoshop 2025 a window opens and shows that is not possible to find MSVCP140_ATOMIC_WAIT.dll
    I already tryied to reinstall Photoshop and I have the same problem.

    Hi, MichaelWijnsma

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

    Based on your description, I understand that you are reporting errors during the download and installation of VS2022.

    You can try the following options to solve this problem:

    1. Software ready to be uninstalled

    For the official Microsoft uninstaller, go to the website and click download;Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed - Microsoft Support

    MicrosoftProgram_Install_and_Uninstall.meta.diagcab: Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed - Microsoft Support

    2. Download it and run the program in order to click on it:

    Next --- Having trouble installing or uninstalling a program? --- Uninstallation

    3.Find the dependency to be uninstalled in the interface

    Which ones you need to uninstall, is the content of the picture you posted when the error is reported, in the uninstallation interface to find and click on the next page can be uninstalled!

    Usually uninstalling these four will install it normally;

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 X64 Additional Runtime - 14.30.30704

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 X86 Minimum Runtime - 14.30.30704

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 X86 Additional Runtime - 14.30.30704

    Microsoft Visual C++ 2022 X64 Minimum Runtime - 14.30.30704

    4.Uninstall and try installing again

    Wish you solve the trouble soon!

    Best Regards,
