It is windows 11 home single language. I am also not able to access the apps in the start menu and there is no other way i can access them but click on the start but if there is any other way please let me know and how to fix it. PLEASE IT IS SO IMPORTANT FOR ME. I AM A STUDENT AND TEAMS AND IT IS ALSO NOT WORKING. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Hi, good day! I'm Jerico T., I understand that you're having some issues right now, I'll do my best to help you with your concern.

When did the issue started? Are there any recent changes on your computer prior to the issue? Please try to press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to open task manager, under Process tab, look for Windows Explorer then right-click on it and select Restart. Check if the start menu and the apps that are on taskbar functions well now.

If the issue still persists, press and hold your power button for 5 seconds or until it shuts down then wait for about 10 seconds before turning it back on. Check if the issue still persists.

    Will wait for your response.

    Regards,

    Jerico T.

I see, then please try to perform the steps below.

    1. Turn on your computer and let it reach your sign-in screen.
    2. Press and hold the SHIFT key on your keyboard.
    3. Click the power icon on the lower part of the screen.
    4. Click Restart while pressing the SHIFT key.
    5. Your device should restart to Windows Recovery Environment.
    6. Select Troubleshoot then choose Advanced Options.
    7. From there, try to perform Startup Repair or System Restore.

I'll be here for your update.

    Thank you,

    Jerico T.

No, once your device restarts, you can let go of the SHIFT key. About the steps I've provided, rest assured that your computer will be fine as long as you follow the steps carefully, just a heads-up that Startup Repair and System Restore might take a while, please be patient and don't interrupt the process as it might corrupt the system and result to reinstallation of Windows. I would suggest that you plug the charger of your laptop to prevent power interruption.

No worries, I will do my best to help you resolve the issue of your laptop.

    Regards,

    Jerico T.

You're welcome and I apologize for the inconvenience. Kindly try to create a new user profile with admin privileges to check if the same issue will appear. Please follow the steps below.

    1. Press Windows key + I to open settings.
    2. Click Accounts.
    3. Select Other users.
    4. Click the Add account button.
    5. Choose "I don't have this person's sign-in information".
    6. Click "Add a user without a Microsoft account".

Once done, sign-in to the new user profile and check if the same issue persists. If the issue does not appear on the new user profile, then your main user profile might be corrupted.

Please do let me know how it goes.

    Regards,

    Jerico T.
