Does Windows 11 allow for a keyboard shortcut for muting your microphone?

I just switched from a laptop using Window 10 to a desktop with Windows 11. My laptop keyboard came with a mic control button to mute and unmute, and I'm wondering if there's a way to turn on a similar keyboard shortcut for desktop keyboards.

Everything I've found online is only mentioning a shorcut for Microsoft Teams, but I'm looking for a shortcut that will control the mic no matter what the program I'm using is. I mainly use discord and the Teams shortcut doesn't work there. I even tried getting a little separate USB plug in to control my mic and all it did was open up the same shortcut that my keyboard's Fn9 does.

    Windows Powertoys comes with a tool called "Video Conference Mute" which - when enabled, allows you to mute the microphone with a key combination - the default being <windows key><shift><a> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/

    As some or most laptops have mute functionality already embedded on the keyboard, desktop computers have a different case. Since keyboards on desktop computers are detachable, users may change their keyboards with something that have additional functionality such as media controls. If the current keyboard attached on your computer does not have a mute control button or slider, it means that the keyboard does not support it and you may need to secure a new one that has media control functionality or mute button.

    As for the mute functionality on windows 11, you can mute the computer by manually navigating to the sound icon of your windows and click or slide the volume down.
