My computer starts lagging a lot at random times and at first it went away after a while, but it has gotten worse and i just restart my pc now but it only works for a few hours until it does it again. And i know it can't entirely be my internet's fault because my cursor lags too not just websites or videos. The pc is quite new and i have no idea what to do about it. And its really bad lag it looks like a slideshow and its starting to be very annoying. I'd also like to know how to stop getting that Microsoft defender family thing everytime i open my computer i don't really know what it is but i want it to go away. I haven't really tried any things because so many different sources are saying so many different reasons so i don't know what to do.

PC Specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 5500

AMD Radeon RX 6600

16,0 Gt

Keep in mind i am not very good at this computer stuff so go easy on me if i made any mistakes.

Hello AtlastheLegend, welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Based on your feedback, you are experiencing computer lag and want to stop receiving Microsoft Family login information.

You can try the following methods:

    Try fixing the system

    1. Search for CMD, find Command Prompt, and select to run as administrator.
    2. Enter the following commands one by one, make sure to execute the next command only after the previous one is completed:

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    SFC /Scannow

    1. After the scan is complete, you can check the scan information to see if any issues were detected and fixed.

Also, I would like to confirm your hard drive space usage.

    Turn off Microsoft Defender

First, right-click on the Start menu - Settings or press WIN + I (capital i) to open it quickly.

Click on Privacy and Security, then choose Windows Security Center.

Second, open - Virus and Threat Protection under Protection Area.

Third, select Virus and Threat Protection Settings - Manage Settings.

Turn off real-time protection, cloud-delivered protection, automatic sample submission, tamper protection, and turn them all off.

Hope the above information is helpful to you.
