Hello,

We are facing a new issue on Windows 11 (22h2, 23H2). We cannot set Adobe Acrobat as default PDF reader and it keeps reverting back to MS Egde immediatelly.

Have anyone else experience this problem? Is this a bug with an update?

Does someone know how to fix it?

Thanks.

Paul.

I found a solution (at least for my Windows 11 laptop).

    REGEDIT

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts.pdf\UserChoice <-- Delete the contents of this entry. (You can't delete the 'UserChoice' folder)

Now go into the "OpenWithList" folder above "UserChoice" & delete the contents of this folder too.

    Close regedit & restart.

    Try again:

Start, Settings, Apps, Default Apps, enter PDF for the file type & select Acrobat as the default.

Mine actually stayed that way & didn't force Edge on me.

    Hope this helps!

same issue here cannot set adobe pro DC as default. none of the above fixes work.
Only difference is this is a laptop that was upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 Pro, Adobe DC Pro was already installed on win 10 prior to upgrade.
