Must I use the Microsoft IPP Class Driver?

Do I have to use the Microsoft IPP Class Driver? I am trying to print using an Epson WF-7820 and it appears, after my own investigation and troubleshooting with Epson tech. support, that the Microsoft IPP Class Driver is interfering with the full printing capabilities my printer--and its latest driver for my operating system--offers.

I am trying to print using a custom (user-defined) size and the IPP Class Driver--the window I get when I go to print a document and set the page size--is not showing the paper size I set up in the printer settings when I go into my document's print menu.

I am running Windows 10 Home (64-bit). I have tried printing from Adobe Photoshop as well as Microsoft Word and have the same problem, so it does not appear to be an issue with the software I am using to print. Thank you.

    I understand your problem, you are printing with custom sized specifications, the IPP class driver does not show the paper size you set in the print menu and you are not able to get the complete most out of your printing capabilities.

    The IPP Class Drivers allow Microsoft to provide baseline functionality for printers without installing third-party drivers or utilities. 

    But you don't have to use this driver, you can download the corresponding driver for your printer model (Epson WF-7820).

    For Epson printer drivers, you can visit the following link: EPSON Download Center

    Enter the corresponding model number to download the driver.

    Alternatively, you can give feedback on your printer problem to Epson technical support, who may be able to give a more professional explanation.

    How do you install the driver once downloaded?

    For Epson printer drivers, you can visit the following link: EPSON Download Center

    Enter the corresponding model number to download the driver.
