    Hi, sebastianfaur.

    Welcome to Microsoft support community.

We noticed you are having problem with game crashing; and thanks for providing us the error message, as that might be the most helpful resource for troubleshooting.

For better solving your problem, could you tell us:

    • Before the issue, can you recall if you have made some sensitive change (system update, software reinstall) which might be the cause of this kind of issue?
    • Do you have another error event which is worth paying attention?

From our search, this is a pretty general error referring to: Fail Fast Exception C0000409 | Microsoft Learn.  From this official article it seems that this kind error is initially designed for some security concern for the application run time; but overtime the ease of terminate the application make some application developer abuse that as the escape hatch. ---- I am not a professional programmer, so I cannot determine if that happens a lot in programming world.

As I was saying, this probably be a game specific issue, unless there is a clear evidence that this happening across a lot of game  which raise this to a system wide issue I suggest you contact the support channel provide by their official site: Muonline Contact (rebelmu.com)  to seeking for help.  As they know better about their game than we do.

Disclaimer:  Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites, or any support related to technology.

But since you have come to this forum, I will give you some personal suggestion (pardon me if you have already tried this method):

    • Depends on the game type, if the game is safe to reinstall I suggest you try to reinstall the game to see if this help. Some game crash are just caused by corrupted local file which could fixed by reinstall the game all together.

Hope you have a smooth path towards your solution. You are welcome to post a new thread for problem in the future.

    Best Regards

    Hello.

Allow me to rephrase my self (i got overly excited) , unfortunately i can not prove my words, but seeing as this "Intel - SoftwareComponent - 1.71.99.0 (23/05/24)" is the only update/change(no game or app updated) made to my system; from not working, to it working again, and the same "Intel - SoftwareComponent" was updated about 1 - 2 weeks ago when the game stopped working; logic dictates it is/was the culprit. Also i have no more KERNELBASE.dll errors in the event viewer. Any way thank you for the support i am just glad its back to normal

    Hello Benjamin,

    Thank you for your reply.

    1. So i know i installed another game from Steam that installed/updated a Visual C++ (don't remember witch one, this is why i initially tried to reinstall them)
    2. And i am not sure but i think Windows did an update.

And the problem has not "spread" to any other application as far as i can tell.

I have tried to reinstall the game, did not change, i will take your advice and contact the support of the game as well.
