Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If you enable OneDrive on those two devices, and log in with the exact same Microsoft account on both devices, the files should then automatically sync between the two devices.

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft community.

To sync files between your two laptops without physically syncing them every few days, you can use cloud storage services or network file sharing. Here are a few methods you can use:

Cloud storage services automatically sync files across multiple devices. Here are steps for a few options:

    OneDrive (Microsoft)

    1. Install OneDrive: Ensure OneDrive is installed on both laptops. It usually comes pre-installed with Windows.
    2. Sign In: Sign in to OneDrive with the same Microsoft account on both laptops.
    3. Choose Folders to Sync: On your main computer, move the files you want to sync to the OneDrive folder. They will automatically upload to the cloud.
    4. Sync on Secondary Device: On the secondary device, the files will automatically download to the OneDrive folder. Ensure OneDrive is set to sync the same folders on both devices.

    Dropbox

    1. Install Dropbox: Install the Dropbox application on both laptops.
    2. Sign In: Sign in to Dropbox with the same account on both laptops.
    3. Move Files: Move files you want to sync into the Dropbox folder on your main computer. They will sync automatically to the secondary device.

    Network File sharing

To set up network file sharing, follow these steps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/file-sharing-over-a-network-in-windows-b58704b2-f53a-4b82-7bc1-80f9994725bf

HOW? The instructions for file sharing on talk about what to do on the main computer, not the receiving one, so I got stuck. Thanks for replying though

I already saw these instructions & they don't work because they don't explain what to do on the receiving PC so I got stuck
