Laptop won't show up with Wireless Display

I have a gaming laptop (Dell G16 7620) as well as a desktop. I want to use the laptop as a second screen with my desktop by using the wireless display app. However, no matter what I do, I cannot detect the laptop on the desktop. The laptop on the other hand, can detect the desktop. I know its an issue with the Wireless Display on the laptop since I can connect to other wireless displays on the Desktop, but no matter what I do, I cannot detect the laptop with wireless display. All of the drivers are fully updated, and they are on the same network. On the laptop, DxDiag.txt says Miracast is available with HDCP, but it says Intel Iris Xe doesn't support Miracast, (I also have a Nvidia GTX 3050ti in it). Do you have any advice on this? Both devices can connect to other wireless displays fine, its just no matter what I cannot detect the laptop anywhere with Wireless Display running. Wireless display also says that it should be detectable, does not indicate anything is wrong with the hardware.

Both computers are on Windows 11.

Hello AlexZheng5 and welcome to the Microsoft Community!

Based on your feedback, you are experiencing Desktop PCs not detecting laptops through the wireless display.

    You can try the following:

Ensure that the Windows 11 device supports Miracast. To check this on your computer, press the Windows logo key + K. If the device does not support Miracast, you may see a message stating that

that a cable needs to be connected to force a conversion to an external display.

Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on. To do this on your computer, select the Network icon on the far right side of the taskbar and check the Wi-Fi Quick Settings.

Make sure the monitor supports Miracast and verify that it is turned on. If the wireless display does not support Miracast, you will need a Miracast adapter (sometimes called a dongle that plugs into the HDMI port).

Ensure that the Wireless Display app is installed on the target computer. Optional feature in the Wireless Display app (currently requires Windows 11). If this device is not discoverable, try typing Wireless Display in the search box on the taskbar and selecting it in the results list. Now, check for this device on the device from which you want to project.

Make sure that the device driver is up to date and that the latest firmware is installed for the wireless display or adapter. See the manufacturer's website for support information for instructions or search for the manufacturer's app in the Microsoft Store for help.

Restart the computer and the wireless monitor.

Delete the wireless monitor, then reconnect it. To delete the device, open Settings and select Bluetooth & Devices > Devices. Under "Wireless Displays & Docking Station", select "More Options (three vertical dots)" next to the wireless display or the adapter you want to remove, then select "Remove Device > Yes Select "Delete Device > Yes". Then try to reconnect.

Ensure that the Windows 11 device supports Miracast. To check on your computer, press the Windows logo key + K. If the device does not support Miracast, you may see a message stating that a cable needs to be connected to force the conversion to Miracast.

    Thank you for your reply!

You are trying to use your laptop monitor as an external monitor for your desktop computer.

Usually the problem is related to the driver.

I have seen that you have updated the driver, you can also try to update the driver of your desktop computer.

And in the meantime, you can try downloading an older version of your laptop's graphics card driver.
