I have followed other post indicating to Disable HID Compliant touch screen, as well the registry change, and still my touchscreen is enabled!!!! I need to find out how to really disable or what cable to pull to disconnect.

  1. Search for and open regedit
  2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Wisp\Touch
  3. Create a new DWORD (32 bit) with the name TouchGate
  4. Doubleclik on the newly ceated DWORD and make sure it has the value 0

(0 = touch disabled, 1 = touch enabled)

  1. Restart the computer

Tray Touch Toggle program sitting in your system tray without the need to fool arround in your registry.

On Mediafire you can download a simple program (to run with admin-rights) enable you to toggle your Touch Screen on/of on both 32 and 64bit. The program was inititally made to run on Win 8, but it also works perfectly on Win10 and Win11.

    http://www.mediafire.com/download/wwjyvcpth07l5yc/Tray_Touch_Toggle_(64_bit).zip

    http://www.mediafire.com/download/o72c4w9hh4hbdwd/Tray_Touch_Toggle_(32_bit).zip

When you launch the program it will guide you to identifying the touchscreen component, you input this information, and it will create a shortcut that sits in your system tray and allow you to toggle the touch screen on/ off.
When you run it for the first time it asks you to identify the HÏD number of the device controlling the touch input.

    Hi,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

I don't think the method works no as of 2024.

Do you have an option to disable Touchscreen in UEFI/BIOS menu?

    Good luck!
