SD card reader not working since Win 11 upgrade

Hi folks. I have a Lenovo s340 with 16gb ram.

Since I upgraded to win 11 recently, the inbuilt sd card reader is not working.

I have applied windows updates, I have also used the Intel and lenovo tools to apply any available updates but to no avail.

There are a bunch of items in device manager which drivers cannot be found for, I assume it would be one of them but there is nothing obvious as to which item is for what. Windows and the lenovo and Intel tools also find nothing.

Please can somebody help?

Many thanks.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Go to the support page for your laptop on the Lenovo website, then from there manually install the version of chipset drivers and SD Card Reader drivers they provide.

Restart your PC and check if the SD Card Reader is working.

If not, please provide a screenshot of your Device Manager window.

Dave that is sorted already thank you! I installed the card reader drivers manually. I am really surprised the automatic tool from Lenovo didnt take care of this but I have learnt something now. Cheers

Yes, you can install Windows 10 drivers into Windows 11, they should work in Windows 11.
