Have you tried manually reinstalling the driver?
If you haven't tried it yet, please carefully follow these steps:
> Right-click the Start and select "Device Manager."
> Expand Other devices. Right-click the Multimedia Audio Controller and select "Update driver."
> Click "Browse my computer for drivers."
> Click "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer."
> Click the driver listed under Model. Click "Next" to install and click "Close.”
If the issue persists, please restart your computer and try the steps again to manually reinstall Multimedia Audio Controller driver.
Let me know how it goes.

I understand you're having trouble with your multimedia audio controller driver. I'm here to help. Could you let me know a bit more about what's happening? Are you seeing any specific error messages when you try to update the driver?
Also, if you go into the Device Manager, do you see any yellow warning icons next to the multimedia audio controller?
Could you capture a screenshot and attach it in your next response?
Let's work together to resolve the issue.
