This issue began earlier this morning, it's been 6 hours and there are no changes. Even if I try to Press Enter and try again, it loads windows but blue screens before reaching the login screen saying Critical Process Died. Same applies to other Startup Settings, all nine options just Blue screens the same effect as just trying again.

I don't have any Bootable USB to use and I wouldn't find a way to install Windows 10 into it since I am the only person in my family with a computer. I am seeking assistance as fast as possible since I got so much to do and I have nearly all my stuff in this machine.

  • Btw I wrote this in my phone and managed to use my PC's keyboard to it

I am glad you have been able to get into the recovery environment on the USB, hopefully one of the options in there will work for you.

Try performing a System Restore, to see if that will get Windows booting correctly, if not, then you may need to try the Windows Reset option.

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - System Restore

Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to

If the above fails, go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Reset this PC

Choose to keep your files and apps, just your files or to keep nothing

    Then start the Reset

The only things I have done are:

    • Trying to get to triggering Windows Automatic System Repairs but didn't work.
    • Booted into Safe Mode but it mentioned that Microsoft Process wasn't responding then it blue screened and I never got back in.
    • During the first minutes of the issue, I was still able to load Windows and log-in while facing critical issues like extreme lag and hanging. Managed to view Reliability History, run SFC, check disk errors, but none completed their purpose because the OS crashed and once again I never got back in.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Have you been able to get into the Recovery Environment and tried all options including System Restore, Safe Mode, and a Windows Reset and are all options failing to recover your Windows installation?
